Here for the gear

Hi,
My mac packed up a couple of months ago and I decided to replace it with a pc, which meant also switching from Logic to Ableton.
I had absolutely no problems with my audio interface (steinberg ur22) when using logic. I plugged it in, set the input to ur22 and the output to default speakers and it all worked fine, with great latency.
The trouble I'm having now is that when I select 'driver type' ASIO, instead of being able to pick audio input and output devices individually, I get a single option: 'audio device'. With the Steinberg ASIO driver then selected, i get no output.
(I have installed the appropriate drivers from the steinberg website)
When I select MME/Direct X drivers I am able to set the input to ur22 and output to 'realtek hd speakers'. The trouble with this is the horrible latency. Buffer sizes are set as low as they can go without distorting the sound.
I'm sure there is a very obvious solution. Sorry if this has come up a thousand times before! My searches proved fruitless.
Thanks in advance
